This Forward Deployed Engineer training builds consulting skills for engineers and client-facing skills through stakeholder management training, executive communication and AI adoption.

5–7 Days | Intermediate | VILT / Classroom | Engineers, Solution Engineers, Tech Leads

Overview — Forward Deployed Engineer Training

At Stalwart Learning, the BRIDGE Method™ is the foundation of our Forward Deployed Engineer training. Its philosophy: "The engineer who carries a business problem all the way to a deployed system." Your engineers already have the technical capability. This programme builds the consulting and client-facing skills needed to carry a business problem forward: discovering the real need, aligning stakeholders, communicating with executives, managing delivery and driving adoption.

This is the business and client-facing half of Forward Deployed Engineer training — for engineers who already have the technical skills. For the complete 25-day programme see the FDE Academy; for the Claude-stack-focused version see our Claude FDE training.

Who Should Attend

Prerequisites

Participants should already have working technical capability in their domain. The programme concentrates on the human and business side of the FDE role, not on coding.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)?

A Forward Deployed Engineer works directly with customers to understand a business problem and carry it all the way to a deployed, adopted solution. The role combines engineering skill with consulting, communication and stakeholder management.

How is this different from the Forward Deployed Engineer Academy?

The FDE Academy is a 25-day programme covering both the technical stack (LLMs, RAG, agents, deployment) and the BRIDGE Method™. This 5–7 day programme is for engineers who already have the technical capability and need the consulting and client-facing skills of the FDE role.

Who should attend this FDE training?

Software and AI engineers, solution and pre-sales engineers, tech leads and delivery leads who work directly with customers or business stakeholders.

Is coding part of this programme?

No. The programme focuses on discovery, stakeholder management, executive communication, delivery management and adoption, practised through role-plays and a client simulation.

Can the programme be customised for our organisation?

Yes. Duration (5–7 days), case studies and simulation scenarios can be tailored to your industry, customers and team profile.

Is the training available online and in-person?

Yes. It is delivered as virtual instructor-led training (VILT) or classroom training across India.
